Emptying, Inspection and Maintenance
Septic tanks, treatment plants and cesspits need to be regularly emptied to prevent the solids from entering the drainage field. To keep your septic and treatment plant at optimal performance, we recommend having it emptied every 12 months. With cesspits it depends on capacity and may need emptying more frequently. This is done by removing the sludge which builds up in the tank, treatment tank or cesspit before it exceeds the maximum capacity, overflows into the soakaway or surrounding ground and risk an environmental impact.
We offer a 24 hour emergency service or a scheduled maintenance programme.
Dependent on the size of system and access to the tank we have a range of vacuum tankers (small, large to all terrain) to meet these needs and, based on our extensive knowledge and experience, we will provide you with the best solution.
We also carry out the following servicing packages:
- air blowers and other internal components in treatment plants are serviced annually to prevent them failing;
- check and clean the pumping chamber to make sure the pump and floats are free from grease and working satisfactorily on a regular basis. If a fault if identified we can replace and repair.
Since 2019 we have operated our own in-house treatment works and therefore process the waste we collect ourselves. The customer benefits from this by us responding faster and on a 24-hours basis.
Most of our customers take advantage of our scheduled emptying service. Whether you’re an existing or new customer, call now for a free quote or to discuss your requirements.
If you haven’t already, you will need to register your septic tank, treatment plant or cesspit with Natural Resources Wales (NRW). For information and guidance on how to do this visit https://naturalresources.wales
To register, your system must meet certain criteria. If you are unsure of the set-up of your sewage system or whether you may need to upgrade your system to meet NRW’s requirements, please call us for advice.
Free Health Check
We are also offering customers an option of a free health check on their septic tank, treatment plant or cesspit when they have their tank emptied. This covers a variety of structural and functional aspects to help maintain a good working system.
Design & Installation
We specialise in all types of installation work. Because every system is different, we will arrange a time to come out to inspect the current structure, discuss your requirements and provide recommendations and a quotation for the required work.
We may recommend repairing the existing system or, if this isn’t possible, installing a new system. There are a number of reasons why a system may need repairing or replacing e.g. the current system is damaged or that is doesn’t meet current regulation requirements.
We have extensive experience of repairing and installing:
- septic tanks
- sewage treatment plants
- cesspits
- soak-aways
- storm water soak-aways
- pumping systems
- drainage systems
